Co-owner Fortunato is a certifiable wine nut and qualified somellier and is always delighted to recommend new and innovative wine and food parings. Wine pricing is reasonable and designed to encourage our inquisitive and knowledgeable patrons to drink rarer and more unusual wines and so enhance their dining experience.

The Ritrovo winelist is a thirteen (!) time winner of the Diners Club national winelist of the year competition with the result that we are the most consistently celebrated winelist in South Africa. We offer such a huge range of wines for every pocket and occasion that we do not allow BYO except under exceptional circumstances. On these occasions no corkage is charged as these normally feature a very special sentimental product.

A key feature of our selection is an emphasis on smaller boutique and garagiste wineries that produce wines that fall outside the mainstream and are crafted with care and love. A popular feature with clients is a small selection of hand chosen daily special wines stored at the perfect temperature in a magnificent Miele Wine Conditioner in the main diningroom. All wines served in the main restaurant are served in the exclusive range of Riedel Crystal glasses acknowledged widely as the world's finest stemware to enhance your dining experience.
