The Ritrovo Wine Cellar

We have a 10,000+ bottle working wine cellar for the pleasure of our patrons. The cellar is temperature- and humidity-controlled to ensure the wines are served in optimum condition, at the correct temperature. The spectacular collection ranges from humble co-operative wines to the great wine labels of the world in quantity and depth of vintage.

Our wine prices are fair, as we believe that good food should be paired with good wine. Our wine list is the most award-winning list in South Africa for good reason. Consequently, we no longer keep it on-line, as in the past a number of other establishments copied it word-for-word. As you are no doubt aware, the list is one thing: keeping the wines properly is quite another!

The cellar may be booked for private functions, and has two sections: a large area seating up to 24 at one long table, and a smaller section seating up to 12.

Please be aware that the cellar is a working restaurant cellar, and thus our waiters will fetch wines discreetly while you dine. Also note that though it is not at long-term cellaring temperature, it is nevertheless quite cool, so you are advised to dress appropriately.
